Background

I’ve proudly called West Roseville home for nearly 20 years. Raised in nearby Antelope by an Air Force veteran father and a middle school teacher mother, my early life was grounded in public service and a deep respect for education. Today, my wife and I are raising our two children right here in the district they attend.

As the only trustee currently on the board who balances a full-time career while raising school-aged children in our district, I bring a crucial, grounded perspective to our leadership. My everyday experiences reflect the very real opportunities and challenges our district families navigate every single day.

My professional path spans a wide variety of sectors. After earning my bachelor’s degree from Sacramento State, I gained valuable leadership experience in financial services before transitioning to local law enforcement, where I proudly served protecting local campuses. Today, I work as a university academic success coach, mentoring students toward lifelong achievement.

Since 2022, I’ve had the honor of serving as a Dry Creek School Board Trustee. Fusing my background in safety, higher education, finance, and active parenting, I focus on building strong, collaborative relationships with our teachers, parents, and community members—always putting our district first to ensure Dry Creek remains a top-tier place to learn, work, and grow.

In addition to my undergraduate degree in Spanish, I hold a Master’s in Healthcare Administration, along with POST certifications and specialized training in crisis management, emergency response, and safety protocols.

That shared experience is why I stand right alongside our Dry Creek families. Like you, I want our children to thrive, succeed, and grow into upstanding community members who make our district proud. As your Trustee, my focus remains steadfast: prioritizing school safety, absolute fairness, and mastery of core academic fundamentals.

Because my own children attend these schools right alongside yours, I live the daily reality of local parenting with you—from the fast-paced routine of morning drop-offs to back-to-school nights, parent-teacher conferences, and the quiet anxieties during campus emergencies.

That hands-on connection also keeps me deeply attentive to our teachers, principals, and support staff. Our dedicated educators bring genuine passion to our classrooms every single day. I will continue advocating for the resources, safety tools, and professional support they need to deliver an exceptional education. Ultimately, I serve our district staff so they can best serve your family.

Coming from a family of veterans and spending my career in public service, my mission has always been simple: leave every community, organization, and individual better than I found them. With your vote, I look forward to continuing that mission for the students and families of Dry Creek.

A great district needs a wide range of real-world perspectives at the decision-making table. My career spans more than two decades in financial leadership, public safety, and higher education. Today, working directly with college students gives me invaluable insight into the entire educational journey, helping us tailor our K–8 environment to build the exact habits our kids need for long-term achievement.

Since taking office in 2022, my focus has been on turning governance goals into measurable results for our community:

Strengthened Campus Safety: Co-led the rollout of enhanced, multi-layered campus security protocols and expanded crisis preparedness training across all 9 district schools in coordination with local emergency response partners.
Fiscal Accountability: Consistently voted for balanced, audited budgets that protect taxpayer dollars while maintaining healthy emergency reserves above state standards.
Prioritizing Classroom Resources: Approved strategic investments in foundational literacy and math curricula, ensuring our teachers have direct support to accelerate student learning outcomes.
Upholding Parental Rights: Backed board policies that foster clear, transparent communication between parents, teachers, and administrators.

Re-electing me to this seat ensures our district continues to benefit from a complete team of leaders with distinct, non-overlapping strengths. I am proud to bring the perspective of an active K–8 parent, safety professional, and higher education advocate to the board as we work together to keep Dry Creek top-tier.

As a parent raising children in our classrooms, I have real skin in the game. I know that exceptional schools are the foundation of a thriving community and a safe, prosperous society.
